1.1 The Chair welcomed the Members to the meeting.
1.2 The Chair wished Dr Simon Brooks all the best as he receives cancer treatment, and thanked him for his contribution to the Committee’s ongoing Welsh language inquiry.
1.3 The Chair paid tribute to Claire O’Shea who passed away on Monday. Claire was due to give evidence during this Committee meeting, and the Chair announced that a minute’s silence, and further tributes would take place ahead of the day’s second evidence session.
2.1 The Members questioned the witnesses as part of their inquiry into the Welsh Government’s International Strategy.
2.2 Helen Antoniazzi to write to the Committee confirming the discrepancy in funding between the World Cup and Euros
3.1 The Chair paid tribute to Claire O’Shea who passed away on Monday.
3.2 A minute’s silence was held to reflect on the loss of Claire.
3.3 The Members questioned the witnesses on the Committee’s inquiry into the Welsh Government’s International Strategy.
3.4 The Committee agreed to write to the witnesses with the questions that were not reached.
4.1 The Committee agreed to write to Sport Wales for clarity on the matter and to ask for a breakdown of funding for all sport.
4.2 The Committee agreed to discuss the issues raised during evidence sessions with public service broadcasters in the autumn term.
